【違反賽規】未有及時收停受傷賽駒 愛爾蘭見習生罰停賽50日

服役生涯取得10場頭馬，為練馬師Norman Lee訓練過馬當中最好嘅賽駒，Sole Pretender當日喺見習騎師Robbie Geoghegan胯下上陣。

於賽事途中，Robbie Geoghegan已發現Sole Pretender有異樣，決定收慢坐騎慢跑到終點。不過後來發現Sole Pretender嘅球節關節的較下位置出現骨折，傷重離世。

事後，高威馬場董事傳召騎師Robbie Geoghegan，佢表示當時已感到坐騎有唔妥，但未能感受到坐騎傷勢之嚴重，故未有落馬。董事認為Robbie Geoghegan違反當地賽馬規例第216條，即未有即時採取有效且可行嘅措施收慢不良於行或受傷嘅坐騎，判佢停賽50日。

練馬師Norman Lee接受訪問就認為騎師Robbie Geoghegan已盡力保護Sole Pretender，認為判罰對Robbie而言過重，佢認為對方亦都喜愛馬匹，只係佢未能意識到Sole Pretender傷勢有幾重。
